According to the data gathered by the PNP, from July 2022 to January 2023,
theft, rape and physical abuse against women and children were the most
prevalent cases of crime in the Philippines.
 
From July 2022 to January 2023, the PNP recorded 6,682 theft cases an
increase from the 6,304 theft cases recorded from July 2021 to January
2022.
Rape cases, meanwhile, a decreased to 3,762 in the past six months from
5,192 recorded during the same period in 2021 and 2022.

Poverty
Poverty is one of the main reasons for crime.
Countries with high rates of economic
deprivation tend to witness higher crime
rates than other countries. Since people do
not have the means to secure a living in a
right ways, they invest their time in criminal
activity since they are not only an easy means
to get what they want but also do not require
any other pre-requisite talents.
DRUGS
A person under the influence of drugs
tends to indulge in criminal activities.
Under the influence of drugs, people
feel the urge to do things that are not
only illegal but also have the potential
to ruin and at times even end their
lives.
PEER PRESSURE
It is an established fact that peer pressure
plays a significant role in the lives of all
teenagers and young adults. That is the
phase of life where people believe what
they do is the right thing to do.
 In today's time, money is one of the
SOCIETY most important aspects of everyone's
life. The meaning of meaning of money
is not restricted to the amount of
wealth in a person's bank account but
is instead also attributed to their
societal status, worth and even values.
As a result of this, people value money
more than their relationships and
happiness and are compelled to
indulge in a life of crime so as to make
more money and feel more worthy.

Victims may feel angry, depressed, isolated,
fearful, experienced negative feelings or have
problems sleeping and trauma.
Effect on the economy The crime rate will indirectly reduce
the quality of economic growth. The
crime is not only limited to criminal
crimes such as theft or fraud but also
economic crimes such as corruptions.
Corruption economically weaken the
system of production, distribution,
marketing and quality of products
produced.

Criminals dispose waste illegally, endangering the
air we breathe, our water and soil.

than those who have profession but we can avoid ourselves
getting into it by being educated. Educate yourself of what will
happen to the victim and to you especially if you'll gonna do it. In
that way you can be part of those people who contribute peace in
your society and you can also propose a program that tacles about
some crime cases and how it affect the people and the image of
the society. Start it with yourself before sharing it to others.

In some part of the US country, they create a crime prevention

guidelines that comprises strategies and measures that seek to
reduce the risk of crimes occurring, and their potential harmful
effects on individuals and society, including fear of crime, by
intervening to influence their multiple causes. This crime
prevention is a multi-sectoral, multi disciplinary, and integrated
endeavour. It aims not only to prevent crime and victimization but
also to promote community safety and contribute to sustainable
development of countries..
