A report tackling the rapid population growth in the Philippines
Population refers to group of organisms of the
same kind or specie living in the same place at
the same time.

Population growth is the change in population


over time.

Rapid population growth is defined as a


significant increase in a population over a short
period of time. It is a global phenomenon that has
been taking place for several decades and
continues to be a concern today.

The world's population has been growing at an


unprecedented rate, with the number of people on the
planet doubling in the last 50 years.

The current world population is over 7.9 billion and is


projected to reach 9.7 billion by 2050.
Local View

The Philippines has experienced rapid population


growth in recent decades. As of 2021, the
population of the Philippines is over 108 million.

Furthermore, a report of WSP in 2021 revealed that the Philippines ranks 7th among Asian
countries with big population.

At the present, the Philippines ranks 13th among
the most populous countries in the world.
