Christmas is one of the most

important festivities in Christianity,

along with Easter and Pentecost. This Christmas is not just shopping, fun and dining, there is something
solemnity, which commemorates the more important.
birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem, is
celebrated on December 25
Currently, Christmas is celebrated in many places and in
very different ways. In general, there is an increase in
consumption, especially for the purchase of food to
celebrate family dinners, and gifts, to place under the
tree and exchange.
From the Christian point of view, the meaning of Christmas
responds to the manifestation of certain values that during
these dates take on a special meaning.

Values such as solidarity, union, love, peace and hope are

more typical of the Christmas season, and are represented in
the religious beliefs of Christianity.
Christmas is a time to remember the Son of God. It is the time
to re-examine our lives and evaluate our thoughts, feelings
and deeds.
Let it be a time to meditate on the birth of Jesus Christ and its
personal meaning for each of us. Let it especially be a time of
renewal and recommitment to living according to God's word
and obeying His commandments. By doing that, we honor
him much more than we would with lights, gifts, and parties.
I want to invoke the Lord's
help so that all Christian
families prepare to
celebrate the upcoming
Christmas holidays with
faith. May Mary help us to
enter into the true spirit of
Christmas”.
