 COMMON MISTAKES
• Wrong mindset:
Be realistic, and do not be overconfident, stay
patient. It is not an easy job. It’ll take time,
writing content just a little part there a lot more
things before and after writing.
 LACK OF SKILLS
As we discussed above writing is just a part of it, there some more
skills that we have to adopt apart from writing:
• SEO Optimized content writing so your work can start ranking.
• Research technique, knowing that how to research for your topic.
• Word press
• Info graphic
• Plagiarism free writing
• Headlining
These are some skill that we need apart from writing, your talent of
using pen will no one notice until you are not good in these skills.
 LACK OF STRATEGIC PLANNING
Make a complete strategy of your journey of writing career.
• Do not follow just your area, for example if you are a student of
literature it doesn't means that you only go after literature but
look in to the market, explore it and try to adopt new niches
which are in demand/.
• Fill your pocket with different varieties.
• Make a website and publish your work there.
• Make a list of your targets, those companies where you want to
sell your products.
• Sort out the way of finding clients. It can be social media
platform, your website, fiverr etc.
• Turn your freelance career into the business plan.
WRONG WAY OF APPROACHING
CLIENTS
• Do not try to approach clients with a simple traditional
cv, but male a personalized and attractive portfolio,
where your cover letters should attract the reader.
• Explain your services that what are you going to
provide them.
• Every time make a little sample before you approach
any client, it should be short and sharp
NOT MARKETING YOUR SERVICES
• It is also one of the biggest mistake that freelancers made is, they do not
market their work in their circle.
• Open your doors for clients, everywhere. Show them what are you doing,
what have you done, where are you heading in your field.
• Make a SEO optimized tagline for you advertisements.
• Develop some stories about your work.
• Request your client to leave a message review about your work.
 IMPROVE YOUR WRITING SKILLS
• Write simple and easy sentences, do not try to be a philosopher.
• Write complete, coherent articles/blogs, with intro, body and
conclusion.
(writing is the 3 rd step, before reaching at the writing, we have to take
the step towards complete research, and then making an outline about
the body of our project, like subheadings and etc. means we have to
make a map before building.
• Edit/ proof read your complete article.
Ask your friends that to give review about your stuff, or compare your
article with already written articles on the same topic, then judge it.
• Do not over explain things.
Avoid repeating the same things, same ideas and exaggerating your
explanations.
Whatever idea you’ve presented, write-down it in the end of paragraph, and
when you finish writing delete those reminders.
• Use contractions (short forms like ‘isn't, it’ll I’ll etc.)
• Use transition words
Usage of transition words make article smooth. But avoid repeating same
words it’ll make it boring.
• Use your articles aloud.
It could be boring it is very helpful to judge your writing.
