Body Parts of Animals

Prepared by: Ms. Yvonne M. Orellana

Let’s Read the Poem!!
How Creatures Move

The Lion walks on padded paws.

The squirrel leaps from limb to limb,
While the Lizard crawls straight up a wall.
Seals can dive and swim.
The worms wiggle all around.
The Monkey swings by its fail,
and the bird may hop upon the ground or
spread their wings and fly.
Animals, like people, have different body parts!
Can you give me one part of your body?

Animals use their parts to move around, get food, and

to protect themselves.

All animals have the same body parts of head, body, and
legs! But, some animals have parts that make them different
from other animals.
For Example:
A butterfly has a PROBOSCIS or a tubelike
part that uses to suck to the nectar from
flowers.
