The use of time
expressions in
future tenses
When we make predictions about
the future with ‘will’ we often use
time expressions like:

-Tomorrow - the day after today

-Next week - the week after this week

-This summer - the closest summer

-One day - some time in the future

-Soon - in or after a short time


EXAMPLES OF TIME
EXPRESSIONS USING
‘WILL’

1. Miss Mona will buy a new handbag


next month.

- Next month, Miss Mona will buy a

WITH ‘WILL’

buy a lot of chocolates.
5. When they arrive in Kuantan, they

WITH ‘WILL’

We use ‘would like’ to mean ‘want’.

We use the infinitive with ‘to’ after it.

‘Would like’
