PADDING

 Padding is a process where immersed fabric in the dye


solutions during dyeing are pressed with a roller to
squeeze the dye solution into the tissues and gaps of
the fabric, while rolling away the excess.

 Generally, before padding process fabric contains 250%


moisture. After the pad process it is reduced to 65% to 75% .
 Overfeed are also provided here as per requirement of the fabric
style.
 Sometimes to keep grey line straight get big concern here.
Machines Types and Capacity
 Total 8 machines are working actively in the floor.

 4 Corino pad machine with 3.5 to 4.2 ton Production per


shift

 4 Bianco pad machine(2 of them are old) with 3.5 to 4.5


ton Production per shift.

 Pick up percentage : 10% to 15%
 Roller types : Free roller, Extractor roller ,process roller

1.Revolving Trolley May Hit at Unloading

At the time of unloading fabric to pad machine trolley keep


revolving and get mass moment of inertia. It has been seen to
move away trolley to any direction suddenly which may cause
huge injury.

Sol: A chain type lock system between down side of the


trolley and base of revolver can be introduced.
2. Inappropriate Height of the Folding
Section
The height of the folder of the Corino Machine
(3 and 4) is too close to the height of operator.
If a person raises his hand unconsciously he may
get to hit by folder rod.

Sol: The height of the folding section should


increase to a certain safety level.
3.Softener Passing Line Over the Floor
Prone to Stumble

There is a pipe line between softener tank and pad


machine which much high above the floor level.
Operator have to go through that way several times
during the pad process. Any time at hurry , he can
fall down stumbling by that pipe unconsciously.

Sol: Pipe line should be connected under the


floor level.
4.Process Roller Case is Open Which
May Stuck Operator’s Cloth
The outside wall of the softener vat and the process
roller containing case is open . There is more than
three roller there and that small space are under the
cyclic folder section. Operator need to provide air
pressure into fabric tube when a tear comes leaning his
body over there. It’s a critical task and need safety.
Sol: A sliding gate of glass like Bianco machine
should be set at the outside surface of that
section.
