to mental fatigue, depression, and physical

Your concern worsen when someone you love dies. That someone may
be a parent, sibling, relative, or friend close to you. Teenagers are
expected to be strong. You are often told "carry on with life" or "take
care of your siblings now" as if you have no right to mourn at all. This
conflict causes stress that you may not be able to handle in time when
you are supposed to be grieving the death of a loved one.

Understand that it is okay to be sad when you lose a loved one. Know
that the pain you feel is not permanent. The table lists thoughts and

"Why me? It is not fair" When somebody you love dies, you can be angry but you cannot
be violent. Engage in activity that you enjoy. It will take away
your thoughts from the loss of someone you love.
"I wish I had..." You may regret the words you said or feel guilty for not being
kinder to the person who died. Accept that regret is natural. Be
kind to yourself and move on with life.
