What is a National Identity Card?

>A National Identity Card is a federal level Identity


card with unique identity number for each person that
can be obtained by citizens of Nepal, based on
their biometric and demographic data.

How to Obtain the NID Cards?

>National Identity Card is distributed by the Department of National


ID and Civil Registration.

> You can apply for National Identity Card Nepal using 2 methods,


• Online registration >> donidcr.gov.np or,
• Submitting the application form >> District administrative office.

> To obtain the NID card through the online procedure, we can apply
online by filling out an application form(https://donidcr.gov.np) and
submitting the necessary documents. Once the verification process is
complete, the NID card number will be ready within a few days.
