Major Assignment (group/individual)-30% for the final assessment

1. You have to find a data set (primary/secondary) having at least two qualitative and
two quantitative variables (altogether at least 4 variables)
2. The data set should have at least 20 observations
3. You should analyze the data set using the concepts and techniques that we
discussed in this course unit
4. You may do this assignment individually or as a group. Maximum number of students
per group is 15. Submit your proposal before 30th August 2021.
5. Proposal should contain the names and index numbers of the students in the group.
In case of group assignments, clearly state the contribution of each individual.
6. There might be an oral examination (viva) just to make sure that you are aware of the
concepts/techniques used in the report.
7. You required to complete the assignment on or before 15th September and submit
the report through the google classroom
 Report on the assignment
The report of the assignment should have the following parts.
1. Background of the data set
2. Cleaning the data
3. Describing each variable using suitable graphs/charts, tables and suitable
summary measures
4. Analyzing two variables at a time using suitable graphs/charts, tables and
suitable summary measures
5. Interpreting the results and reporting your conclusions
6. You have to properly number the tables and charts and refer them in your
report
7. If you are using secondary data, clearly state the source of data.
