INTRODUCTION

 In mathematics, traffic flow is the study of interactions between vehicles, drivers,

and infrastructure, with the aim of understanding and developing an optimal road
network with efficient movement of traffic and minimal traffic congestion
problems.

It aims at applying a system of linear equations to traffic flow for a network of four one-
way streets in a locality.

It also aims to determine the number of vehicles that should be allowed to route the
four one-way streets understudy in the model in order to reduce traffic
congestion in a locality.
Definition : A matrix having mn elements
arranged in a rectangular array with m rows and n
column is called ”matrix” ( where m,n ∈ R )

» a 1 1 ,a 1 2 ,…..,amn are called the

A= elements of “ A ”
» 11,12,13,….,mn are called the
position of
elements of “A”
» a 1 1 ,a 2 2 ,a 33 ,….,amn are called the
m×n diagonal elements of the
matrix “ A”
Upper Triangular Matrix : A square matrix having the main diagonal
below elements are zero and other elements may or may not be zero is
called upper triangular matrix

LOWER TRIANGULAR MATRIX : A square matrix having the main diagonal

above elements are zero and other elements mayor maybe zero is called low
Properties of orthogonal Matrix

•We can get the orthogonal matrix if the given matrix should be a square matrix.
•The orthogonal matrix has all real elements in it.
•All identity matrices are orthogonal matrices.
•The product of two orthogonal matrices is also an orthogonal matrix.
•In the same way, the inverse of the orthogonal matrix, which is A-1 is also an
orthogonal matrix.
•The determinant of the orthogonal matrix has a value of ±1.

CONCLUSION

By making this presentation First of all we have gone through

what is a matrix. Then we have gone through what is an
orthogonal matrix, moving forward we have come to know that
how to find an orthogonal matrix. Then lastly we have come to
know about some of the properties of the orthogonal matrices in
which first was the product of two orthogonal matrices is always
orthogonal. Secondly we have come to know about that the
inverse of an orthogonal matrix is always orthogonal. Lastly we
have come to know that the determinant of a orthogonal matrix
+1 or -1. And have solved some problems there.
