 INTRODUCTION:

 The aim is to design a "Automatic Reverse Braking System" for a purpose

of prevent collision between the vehicle and any objects while moving in
the reverse path. The main advantage of this is there is no need of manual
power.
 If there is any objects in the reverse path, the sensor senses the object and
the brake is applied automatically. The high quality IR sensor is used to
sense the objects on reverse path. The report contains the working, Circuit
diagram , block diagram of Automatic Reverse Braking System along with
the list of material needed and cost estimation.
 It is a genuine project which is fully equipped and designed for automobile vehicles. This forms an
integral part of best quality.

 This product underwent strenuous test in our automobile vehicles and it is good. The “PNEUMATIC
BRAKEING CIRCUIT” can stop the vehicle within 2 to 3 seconds running at a speed of 50KM.

 The intelligent breaking system is a fully automation project.

This is an ear of automation where it is broadly defined as replacement of manual effort by mechanical
power in all degrees of automation
 The operation remains an essential part of the system although with changing demands on physical input
as the degree of mechanization is increased. Degrees of automation are of two types, viz.
1. Full automation
2. Semi automation

 In semi automation a combination of manual effort and mechanical power is required whereas in full
automation human participation is very negligible. Sensor Operated Pneumatic Brake is consists of IR
transmitter and Receiver circuit, Control Unit, Pneumatic breaking system.
 COMPONENTS USED:

Radar
Video
infrared or ultrasonic
 METHODOLOGY:
The project consist the following parts
• Pneumatic cylinder
• Motor
• Cam
• Air tank

WORKING PRINCIPLE:
The pneumatic cylinder's piston is connected to the cam disc's shaft. The cam disc is connected
to the motor shaft. The motor is used to rotate the cam. Using the cam's rotary motion the
pneumatic cylinder is operated to the linear motion (i.e forward and reverse).

The pneumatic cylinders two inlet ports are connected to the four non return valves, the non-
return valves are have, the two non return valves are connected always the air tank, another two
non-return valves are connected to the pneumatic cylinder only.

The motor start rotates then the pneumatic cylinder reciprocates forward and reverse, during this
motion the atmospheric air is sucked and send through the air tank, the air tank contains two side
in the non-return valve so the air can't be come out from the air tank.
The stored air is used for the required applications. This project is very much useful for small
scale industries, etc
 APPLICATION:
• The automobile industry has shown increased interest in the replacement of steel
leaf spring with fibre glass reinforced polymers.
• To match Reduce the weight of the steel leaf spring by introducing composite
material.
• With increase in the fatigue life of the spring.
• Increase the Stiffness of the leaf spring.
A four-leaf steel spring used in the rear suspension system of light vehicles is
analyzed using ANSYS V5.4 software.
• The finite element results showing stresses and deflections verified the existing
analytical and experimental solutions.
• Using the results, a composite one made from fiberglass with epoxy resin is
designed and optimized using ANSYS.
• Main consideration is given to the optimization of the spring geometry. The
objective was to obtain a spring with minimum weight that is capable of carrying
given static external forces without failure.
 ADVANTAGES:

An automatic braking system is an important part of safety technology for

automobiles. It is an advanced system, specifically designed to either
prevent possible collision, or reduce speed of the moving vehicle, prior
to a collision with another vehicle, pedestrian or an obstacle of some
sort

 DISADVANTAGES:

There are some important limitations of the AEB system. First, the basis of AEB's function
is that the object in front can be recognized by the camera and radar. However, the camera
and radar are less effective in bad weather and light conditions, such as sandstorms,
fog, snow, and darkness
