Conducted by a survey of 16 to 30-year-old male
and female participants.
Respondents 36
Secondary Research
The main theme is the preparedness level of Dhaka city residents for an
earthquake is satisfactory or not this research certainly matched my hypothesis.
As the people want NGOs should educate people by advising them on home
earthquake drills.
The research proves that there is a massive lack in the preparedness of Dhaka
cities residents for an earthquake.
The people who are illiterate and not privileged in society are at high risk of an
earthquake disaster because they are not under the radar of being prepared or any
initiatives.
Conclusion/Recommendations
To overcome this situation, people have to be first concerned and motivate themselves
to be more active in raising the level of preparedness in their own community because
every citizen has some responsibilities toward its society.
Additionally, strictly maintain the rules about the construction of a building to be able to
counter an earthquake.
In conclusion, we can say that the preparation for an earthquake is not significant for
Dhaka city's residents.
