INTRODUCTION
 The Sixty Dome Mosque is one of the very impressive Muslim monuments in the
whole Indian subcontinent.

 It is situated in Bagerhat known as 'masque city'. 

 The mosque was built during the Bengal Sultanate by Ulugh Khan Jahan,  who
was the governor of the Sundarbans.

 The building work of the mosque was started in 1442 and it was fully
completed in 1459. 

 The mosque was usually used for prayers, and also as a madrasha and
sometime as assembly hall.
