Introduction
The goal of Labeling and packaging manual is to provide ON Apparel
Technical Designers/Developers, Product
Developers and Vendor/Factory Partners with standardized labeling and
packaging methods for ON’s most commonly produced product types.
The purpose of these standards is to enable speed and consistency in the
preparation and production

• OVERVIEW
On’s Apparel Labeling manual is a work in progress. The contents contained in this
manual will continue to evolve over time.
• GOAL
This guide provides an outline to the basic labelling requirements for consumer textile
articles subject to the Textile Labelling Act and the Textile Labelling and Advertising
Regulations

DETAILS OF LABEL
• A "label" is any label, mark, sign, device, imprint, stamp, brand or ticket. Labels containing information relating to fiber content fall
into two classifications: representation labels and disclosure labels.
• A representation label is a label containing any information with respect to the textile fiber content of the article to which it is
applied and may contain other information not required by the Regulations.
• A disclosure label is a representation label containing required information which is provided according to the provisions of the Act
and Regulations for a consumer textile article. Both required and non ‑required information may be shown on the same label.

 Folding method and packaging manual and tissue paper use should minimize risk of
color transfer, snagging, creasing /wrinkling or other shipping or storage-related
quality issues
 UPC/ UCC/Hang tag are a vital part of nearly all the products you see on shelves of
