FAQ,THE IMPACT & MEASURES
As the world comes together to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic, it is
important to ensure that essential services and operations for dealing
with long-standing health problems continue to protect the lives of
people.
Health care facilities, including those that diagnose and care for TB
and lung diseases, are bound to receive patients with COVID-19,
many of whom may be undiagnosed. Additional measures may be
needed to avoid that staff in these centres are exposed to COVID-19
infection.
The diagnostic methods for TB and COVID-19 are quite distinct and
individuals being evaluated for both conditions require specimens
which are commonly different.
