Familiarize yourself with phishing attacks

HR & Marketing teams

What is phishing?

A phishing email is a type of scam email that is designed to trick the recipient into divulging
sensitive information, such as usernames, passwords, credit card numbers, or other personal
information. These emails often look like they come from a legitimate source, such as a bank,
social media platform, IT and / or IT security teams or online retailer, but in reality, they are sent
by cybercriminals who are attempting to steal the recipient's personal information or gain
unauthorized access to their accounts.
Learn to spot phishing emails

Phishing emails may use a variety of tactics to trick the recipient into providing their
information, including creating a sense of urgency, using a convincing email address or logo, and
including a link to a fake website that looks like the legitimate one.
How do we stop getting phished?

To avoid falling victim to a phishing scam, it is important to be vigilant when opening emails from
unknown sources, never provide personal information in response to an email, and always verify
the legitimacy of a website before entering any sensitive information.
