ENGAGING AND CONNECTING WITH OTHERS VIA GADGETS LIKE: MOBILE, COMPUTER
ETC. THOUGH THERE ARE SEVERAL PLATFORMS FOR SOCIAL MEDIA, THE ALL OFFER
THE SAME MAIN GOALO OF FACILITATING SOCIAL CONNECTION. SOCIAL MEDIA HAS
EXPANDED INTO MORE THAN SIMPLY TEXT BASED INTERACTIONS, BUT ALSO IMAGES,
VIDEOS, AND A VARIETY OF OTHER TYPES OF CONTENT. THIS HAS IMPROVES USER'S
ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS WHILE ALSO ALLOWING THEM TO EXPRESS

findings, we have gained an understanding about the respondents
that they are more attached to social media and consider it more as
an advantage.
• Students are more frequently exposed to social media and agreed
that social media is a development of the nation. Regarding the
applications, they access Facebook more, in view of the fact that
Facebook is highly influenced by the interconnectedness of people,
and consider social media as not a hindrance with regards to their
mental health. They believe that social media is a useful thing since it
provides communication, and thinks of it as an addiction at the same
time.
