Abstract
The spread of Coronavirus started at the end of the year 2019
from the city of China, Wuhan. The continuous spread of the virus
forced governments of various countries to put lockdown for
several months. It has been observed that wearing a face mask can
actually prevent the transmission of this deadly virus. In the future,
we have to use a face mask as a preventive measure for any such
viruses. However, manually it is very difficult to keep track of a
person wearing a mask or not. And here technology plays a very
crucial role. We introduce a this model that will detect faces and
can predict whether the person is wearing a mask or not.

Problem Statement
During the pandemic period, face masks have proved to be the most
effective step toward preventing the spread of COVID 19. However , it
is difficult for an organization to ensure this behavior on a collectivr
basis . People often violate this rule which the organization has to
suffer, like other sectors the construction industry has been affected
where many projects have been suspended due to the pandemic. The
main objective of the face detection model is to detect the face of
individuals and conclude whether they are wearing masks or not at that
particular moment when they are captured in the image.

Proposed Solution
The proposed project will be able to analyze the images through
camera and detects the presence of mask and create masked face
images from unmasked face images by appending the mask on the
face recognized on the image and store it. the project works by
integration of python OpenCV tensor flow for implementing the
detection of face mask.

Conclusion
The artificial intelligent (AI) and machine learning (ML) are developed
various models for face mask detection. In this article, discussed about
various methods are used for facial mask detection. As we know
nowadays mask detection is a very challenging task. The applications of
Facial Mask Detection are used especially for the prevention of
spreading Corona Virus, tracking & identifying criminals and anti-
spoofing etc. But the facial mask detection and non-masked face
detection accuracy provided high variations.

Future scope
The present model proposed gives great accuracy for single face and
multiple faces with and without mask also it gives quite good accuracy.
It works easily on any mobile device just by switching on the video
stream, with no external hardware requirements. Further I will work for
improving the accuracy for multiple face mask detection, to classify the
faces into three categories that is, with mask, without mask, improper
mask instead of of just the two with and without mask class
