• Quarrying is the process of removing rock,
sand, gravel or other minerals from the
ground in order to use them to produce
materials for construction or other uses.

Rehabilitation

• Contractors and permittees shall technically and biologically

rehabilitate the excavated, mined-out, tailings covered and
disturbed areas to the condition of environmental safety, as may
be provided in the implementing rules and regulations of this Act.

  QUARRYING
• In year 2020, quarrying has been a big issue in the municipality of
Gattaran. Several places in the said municipality have been undergone
huge quarrying operations specially in the following barangays:
1. Mabuno
2. Capissayan Sur
3. Piña Este
4. Nabaccayan
5. Dummun
