Introduction
In this Era of Digital content creation, there is always a
threat of piracy on the content creator be it individual or
corporation piracy can rob those content creators of
substantial amounts in revenue or in some cases even their
livelihood. The piracy can be tackled using already-
established hardware and software technology.
Objectives
Theatres are very well-established forms of entertainment
which are subjected to piracy due to the tendency of the
audience to capture the moment or think they own content
right to reproduce while only paying for one viewing. The
aforementioned problem can be tackled using already-
established hardware and software technology.
Materials & Methods
In our project, we are going to tackle problem of piracy by
introducing a payload in DCP (Digital Cinema Package)
which will ensure there is an invisible layer of the
watermark which will be trigger due to the change of
resolution from the theatre screen to the camera. This
method ensures a watermark in the camera recording.
Another method is to install an IR blaster behind the
theatre screen which will render the mobile camera to
capture a static noise. The above method can combine to
yield an effective result.

Conclusions
Result
The proposed method is used to protect the movie to
record illegally in movie theatres which results in huge
losses to film producers and theatres. This system will
have low cost, low power consumption and high accuracy.
There can be various other applications of this system
which requires high degree of piracy and security such as
highly confidential conferences, meetings, research
centers etc. The main idea of this technique is to embed a
imperceptible message into the movie. The message
indicates the theatre to which the movie is being
distributed, equipment on which it was shown, date and
time of showing and information identifying the
projectionist. The next step is capturing and processing the
images of audience using Image Processing. After
embedding a payload in the movie, if any camera tries to
capture the movie the payload immediately notifies or
alerts the user and the projectionist and will capture face
of the user with front camera of his mobile device and will
send all those screen shots to the projectionist. Also, if a
camera is found then a signal is sent to the screen which is
embedded with Infrared LEDs. The Infrared rays make the
captured video useless without disturbing the view of
audience. It also sends an alert to the theatre management
stating that there is an activity of recording going on. If
movies are pirated and illegal recordings are transmitted
on Internet or via some other route, then the message can
be extracted from the pirated movies to reveal the person
or organization responsible for unauthorized release.
