A group of products that offer similar benefits can be referred to as product categories.


Products from a same product category will have similar physical features and will offer
similar benefits  (examples of grocery categories might be: tinned fish, washing detergent,
toothpastes).
Category Manager
The category manager leverages detailed knowledge of the
consumer and consumer trends as the retailer tailors its
offerings to the specific needs of each market. Each category
may have a separate category advisor, depending on need.

 Design exit strategies for unsuccessful products
