Design Space

Design Space : Security Bot

Problem:
● Walking around at night in America can be dangerous and scary for some people.
● CCTV cameras may not be able to see everything, which can make it hard to detect crime and ensure safety.

Solution:
● People can work together to make their neighborhoods safer by starting neighborhood watch programs and
improving outdoor lighting.
● Using different types of technology, like drones and sensors, can help fill in the gaps where CCTV cameras can’t
see.
Storyboards

1. A student comes to the campus and not sure

about the safety of the campus.
2. He notices the Starship Robots, but don’t know
what is this for.
3. He sees a flyer about this new Security bot. It
can not only monitor the campus but also walk
you home at night.
4. This evening he studies at WALC really late.
5. He uses his phone to call for a Security bot to escort
him home.
6. The Security bot waits for him outside the WALC
7. He feels safe to walk with the bot.
App UI

There are two features for this app. First

is “Follow me”. This allows the bot track
your phone location and follows you.
Second is “Follow route”. When you
enter your destination, this can
automatically calculate your route and
time. You just follow the bot.
