 Calle Real , officially named as J.M. Basa Street, is a historic street
located in the old downtown district Iloilo City Proper of Iloilo City,
Iloilo, Philippines. The street often referred to as the “Escolta of Iloilo”. It
is home to several fine examples of historic luxury American era
neoclassical, beaux-arts, and art deco buildings. The street has been
famous since the Spanish Era. However, its importance has dwindled and
the street has become less maintained; yet there have been efforts to
revitalize the street which includes the restoration of the historic buildings
along the street and beautification projects.

2. Miagao Church
 The Church of Saint Thomas of Villanova, commonly known as the
Miagao Church, is the Roman Catholic parish church of the town of
Miagao in Iloilo Province. Completed in 1797, the church is famous for
the artistic sculptural relief carved on its facade. In 1993, the church was
designated as one best examples of the Baroque Churches of the
Philippines and included in the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

 The Miagao Church stands as a living legacy of the culture and way of
life of the people of Miagao centuries ago, anchored in a strong
foundation of Christian faith. As most travelers would agree, the Miagao
Church is one of the country’s architectural gems because of its unique

5. Pilgrimage at Garin Farm
 Experience a unique spiritual journey
in Garin Farm of San Joaquin. Situated at
the southernmost town of the Province of
Iloilo, Garin Farm is an inland resort that
integrates agriculture, leisure and religion to
create a farm, a recreational place and a
pilgrimage site all in one location.
 The place is actually a functional farm that
showcases agricultural practices and houses
various livestock and crops. Their produce
are sold on site, served in their restaurant and
supplied to different buyers. A walk around
the farm will let you experience the world of
farming in real life.
6. Molo Mansion
 The Molo Mansion, also known as the Yusay-Consing
Mansion, is one of the most outstanding historical homes
in the Philippines. Among its most notable features are
its high ceilings, Neoclassical balustrades, and
decorative carvings. It stands across the town plaza and
St. Anne Parish Church in the Molo district.
 It's recommended to visit the mansion in the dry season,
which is usually from December to May. Visiting during
this season will allow you to get a more picturesque
view of the house's exterior and gardens. The mansion is
open to the public every day from 8 AM to 10 PM.

7. Souvenirs at Biscocho Haus

 You can’t leave a Philippine town without bringing home

some souvenirs. That’s part of the country’s pasalubong
culture. In Iloilo, just like in many other towns in the country,
pasalubong or souvenirs are not limited to practical or novelty
items like keychains or shirts. You can (and you should!) also
take home delicious food finds because you might not find
them anywhere else in your hometown.
 One great snack that is said to have originated from Iloilo,
Biscocho is a kind of toasted bread crackers with butter and
sugar. It can be eaten as a partner with coffee during
breakfast, as a side for a bowl of hot soup, or just a snack for
any time of the day.
