Mahavir Seva Sadan, situated at the heart of City of Joy, Kolkata and only organization
and a Pioneer name describes the services to humanity to restore happiness in life,
especially physically challenged by presenting them Free of Cost with lifetime guarantee–
Artificial Limbs manufactured in workshop by world famous Jaipur Foot technology to
enable them to be in the main stream of life with dignity and self-respect. Thus, Calcutta
Centre Mahavir Seva Sadan started its journey three and half decade ago in the year 1985
by Mr J S Mehta with small 200 sq. ft. area only. Today with blessings and grace of God it
has own 5 storied building at Kolkata with area of 20,000 sq.ft. In MSS existing unit at
Ekbalpur Lane, Kolkata.

In last 2 decades there was a remarkable vacuum noticed in identification, early intervention
and treating of various types of adverse neurological conditions like Cerebral Palsy,
Intellectual Disability, Autism etc. It is estimated that the population of every 1000 live births
prevalence rate of Cerebral Palsy is 3.8(WHO), Autism -2 (RCI) and other Neurological
disorders- 9(NICE). Actual figure may be higher. Based on prevalence rate severity of the
problem could be well imagined. The Mahavir Seva Sadan has been the
pioneer in raising the modern Early Intervention Centre in Kolkata for detection, diagnosis,
medical and paramedical treatment for easing activity of daily life and improving reception
by children with special needs (CWSNs) during 0-10 years of age.

A dedicated unit for manufacturing of artificial limb with approx. area of 2400 sq. ft.

We manufacture foot with Jaipur foot technology.

 Provide artificial hands as well with support of calipers, wheel chair also.

 80% differently abled person working with us.

 Professional technical team to run the department.

 Till date provided 4 Lakh+ artificial limbs, hands, crutches, calipers, moulded shoes,
wheel chairs and walkers free of cost.
