Abstract: A summary of the contents of a Dissertation, a


Book, an Article, or Speech

Expectations
One page of not more than 500 words-single spacing
(double-spaced page, about 280 words)

Containing:
1. Introduction
This must state in two or three lines the key background
and research gaps in this area of study. It should also
state the study objectives and how these address the
key research gaps identified by the researcher.

2. Methods:

This section must state the study methods that were used,
and how these methods meet the key study objectives
of the research.

It should also include the data analysis methods that were


used and explain why these methods of data analysis
where the most appropriate ones for this study.

3. Results:
This must itemize the key/major study findings including
the key descriptive data and the main analytical data in
a progressive manner. Included here are the
implications of the findings.
4. Conclusion:
This should describe the main conclusions reached by the
study. These must align with the specific study
objectives.
In addition this must explain what has been added to the
knowledge in this study area and how key knowledge
gaps have been addressed, as well as the implications
for the future in this study area.

5. Recommendations for further research:


You can propose future research suggestions that address the
limitations of your study.
Constructing the same research in a new context, location and/or
culture. It is most likely that you have addressed your research
problem within the settings of specific context, location and/or
culture.

6. Key Words:
Keywords are ideas and topics that define what your content is about.
They are the words and phrases that searchers enter into search
engines, also called "search queries."
