Introduction

•The project has been designed to perform the required task taking
minimum time and braking effort. The main objective of our project is
to design a pattern and its method for an effective braking system
which could be more effective than the braking systems existing
nowadays. This project gave an ample opportunity to study and
understand the various aspects of braking system and its functioning.
After completing the study we were able to make a proper
experimental investigation. The implementation of the braking system
is quite feasible
Problem Identification
• Our problem is that we don’t have emergency braking system in
automobile, so to overcome the brake failure we have to do.
• To design an Automobile Brake Braking emergency braking System for
a drum brake system and test it.
• To modify mechanism of Car system to make it more safe.
• To make effective braking system.
• Increase safety at while driving vehicles.
• Conceptual design for future electric vehicles.
•
Objective

• To understand the basic principal of the our project

• Describe the construction and working of various parts of our project
• Development of the working model of the our project
• To reduce time spent on this activity.
• To analyze the technology according to needs and capabilities.
Experimental Set up

Solenoid Actuator
Wheel

Braking system Switch

Battery
Frame
Part Name

•. Sr. No. Name of Resource Specification Quantity

1 Wheels 14 inch Diameter 3

2 Mild steel pipes 1 inch Square 10 ft
3 Battery 12vdc, 3Ah- 1
4 Solenoid actuator 12vdc 1
5 Press button 1
Working Principle

In this project the various component used like Bike Wheel, Braking
system, Solenoid Actuator Motor Gun, Battery 12VDC, Frame structure
and Press button. When the switch press solenoid actuators on and pull
the brake wire and brake is applied and when release the switch also
release the brake wire
Advantages
• 1. Electronic brake systems will reduce maintenance cost
• 2) The practical location of the retarder within the vehicle prevents
the direct impingement of air on the retarder caused by the motion of
the vehicle.
• 3) The retarders help to extend the life span of the regular brakes and
keep the regular brakes cool for emergency situation
• 4) There is no need to change brake oils regularly.
• 5) Reduces oil leakage.
• 6) Easy to diagonise problem
• 7) Optimized brake wear
• 8) Constant force of brake can be applied
Limitations

• The developed braking system is the dependence of battery power to

energize the brake system which drains down the battery much faster
Future scope of the project aims at the minimization of direct
dependence of the system on the battery.
Application

1. In vehicles , for physically challenged person

2. Used in machine where emergency braking needed
Future scope

• The project has covered almost all the requirements. Further

requirements and improvements can easily be done since the as per
requirements is mainly structured or modular in nature.
Improvements can be appended by changing the existing modules
Conclusion

• The main purpose of this project is to provide such a device to
vehicles operator so that any harmful damage and accidents cause by
brake switch can be easily. There are many aims of this project
describe as:-
• To indicate the proper working condition of brake switch
• To prevent small number of accident occurs in trains and boats by the
using of brake switch
