Mould Design

• The mould is the component in plastic injection machinery that

determines the appearance and quality of the finished product.
• This part works together in conjunction with the rest of the components
— like runners, gates, sprues, and heat chambers — to produce a high-
quality plastic product.
• The quality and make of the mould allows injection moulders to ensure
high tolerance, identify defects, maintain precision, choose the right raw
materials, as well as, predict the behaviour of the product during end-
use.
• The image on your right is a
mould design for a tool
basket.
• The rectangular hole visible
to you is cavity tooling.
• This is the initial stage for
any product manufactured
through mould design.
• The image on your right is a
tool basket obtained for
mould design
• Given holes are the cavity
and the ordained shape has
been obtained through
mould specifications.
• We all want a house, our own
home, just for us. Every little detail
of that house is specified by us. But
that goes for everyone. Some of us
want to design our own homes,
Floor Plans and the first step in that is, creating
FLOOR PLANS.
• The most widely used software in creating floor plans is Autodesk
AutoCAD.
• The accuracy and the varieties of options such as, block, layer, hatch
etc. are the used tools.
• Whether it's a basement level, an office space, cafeteria, hotel plan,
you can form it in the AutoCAD software.
