• Dust storms are very common in spring​


• Have become very severe in recent years due to desertification,
deforestation, drought, urban sprawl and overgrazing​
• Up to 33 million tons of crops are lost each year​

• Millions of people die due to lack of water​

• The ​earth cracks and therefore cannot be used for farming purposes

One-child Policy

• An extreme example of population planning

• It was implemented in China in 1980, September 25th.

• Chinese citizens said it interfered with their reproductive lives.

• It ended in 2016, and from then onwards, families were allowed to


have two children.
