Introduction
1.The use of automatic equipment or other process or facilities
in construction is called as Automation in Construction of road.

2. Manufacturing facilities to building & construction sites as a

result rapid technological advances which perform complex task.

3.The combination of methods processes & Systems that allow

for greater machine autonomy in construction activites
Objectives
■ Construction automation may have multiple goals including but
not limited to, reducing jobsite injuries, decreasing activity
completion times, and assisting with quality control and quality
assurance.
■ Some systems may be fielded as a direct response to increasing
skilled labour shortage in some countries
■ Automation in construction is the combination of methods,
processes and systems that allow for greater machine autonomy
in construction activities.

Scope
Applications
Advantages Of Automation
• Replacing human operators in tasks that involve hard
physical or monotonous work.
• Replacing humans in tasks performed in dangerous
environments such as those with heights, over a river etc.
• Making tasks that are beyond human capabilities easier.
• Economic improvement. Automation can serve as the
catalyst for improvement in the economies of enterprises or
society. For example, the gross national income and
standard of living in Germany and Japan improved
drastically in the 20th century
Machinery Use In Construction
Methodology
Conclusion
■ Automation is today broadly used in the infra construction in
Europe.
■ Automation has proven its efficiency and benefits on account of
full-scale site tests in different European countries.
■ Today there are increasingly efforts on the development of total
working process by the aid of 3-D automation.
■ It is also the main focus of our automation research group.
■ It is possible to increase the safety in asphalt paving by
introducing either emergency based or
■ fully automated functionality. The largest safety benefit would
be achieved if the road traffic could be
■ automated when driving through the construction work. This
could possibly remove 33 % of all fatalities in
