MICROSOFT PAINT
MS Paint
 A simple drawing tool that can be used to create simple or elaborate
drawings.
 These drawings can be either black-and-white or color, and can be
saved as bitmap files.
 Can be used to work with pictures, such as .jpg, .gif, or .bmp files.
 MSPaint or Paint program comes free with Windows 7 or 8. It can
also be downloaded free for those with Windows 10.
 Although digital pictures come in a variety of file formats, most
pictures on your computer probably use the common JPEG format.
This is the file format most digital cameras use to save quality
images without creating large files. In addition most programs can
open pictures that are saved in the JPEG format.

 These selections can then be moved around, copied, or

edited without affecting the rest of the image.

you want to erase.

 "Erasing" changes the erased part of the image back to the

background color of the image file.

Color Picker

Magnifying Glass Tool

 The Magnifying Glass, or Zoom tool, can be used to get a

closer, more detailed view of an image.

 This is very useful if you’re working in close with the fine

details of a part of an image

Pencil Tool

 Basic drawing tool.

 The pencil’s stroke is a single pixel wide, which makes it useful for
working with fine details, but a poor choice for filling in large
areas of the image with color.
Paint Tools
Paint Brush

 Can be used in different colors, but the shape and size of the Paint Brush
can also be changed. You can use square, round, and slanted shaped
brushes, of various sizes, selected in the Toolbar Options.

AirBrush Tool

 Instead of applying color to the image evenly, it applies it

gradually.

 The "spray" is a semi-random distribution of pixels. Gradually, as

the airbrush is left hovering over the same area while it is painting,
it will fill up with color.

 The airbrush can paint at three different sizes, selected through the
Options portion of the Toolbar.
