Index (SAP Menu/ User Menu)


 The initial tab will provide an tree structured index which
should contain all transaction relevant for you.

 The index can either be viewed in the general SAP defined
way (SAP menu) or also in an STIHL specific structure
(user menu).

Entering Transaction
 The transactions can either be entered through the tree
structured index or by entering the transaction codes in
the command field

 By entering a transaction code in the command field, there


is no differentiation between small or large letters

 The following settings should be done to optimize the


search algorithm of the NWBC:

Navigating in Transactions
 After entering a transaction you will find the menu bar
behind the button menu
 Her you can sometimes switch easily between the
create, change and display mode of the transaction
 Or jump through the path “Goto“ or “Environment“ into
related transactions

 The following icons are used to navigate through the
transactions:

If a transaction has the run

button to confirm.

Navigating in Transactions

This icon can help you when there is a large


4amount of tabs. Just press it and all tabs will be
displayed in a list form from which you can select one.

Whenever this icon is shown, it means that the


5 particular document exists out of several views or
pages. By pressing either left or right you can skip
through them.

Favorites

 Your most often used transactions can be listed in the


favorites panel.
 For adding a transaction to the favorites panel, please
press the „Add to Favorites“ button after entering the
relevant transaction.

 The favorites panel can always be viewed by pressing on


the icon. By selecting a favorite a new tab with the
selected transaction will open.

User Parameters

 The user parameters defined in the transaction code (TC)


„su3“ will allow you to set up default values for often used
fields. (e.g. Sales Organization, Division, Distribution
Channel)

Variants & Layouts


 Several transactions will include a selection screen or an
table. There are different ways you can configure these:
 Selection screen: Field entries can be saved as variant
under the path “Menu/ Goto/ Variants”

 Table: Displayed columns and their order can be


configured by changing the layout. (Each in this
way saved layout can used as default layout)

 Some transaction include tables which have no layout


change option (e.g. display sales order (va03), display
purchase order (me23n). In these cases please use the
configuration button to save your settings.

Mandatory Fields
 The standard SAP transactions will illustrate the
mandatory fields in a transaction with this icon.
 For example in the „customer creation“ (XD01):

Not Editable Fields


 If a field has a blue or gray background this means that it
is not editable:

F1 and F4 Help

 The F1 help: Will view the performance assistant which


provides basic information towards the marked field. (also
e.g. technical information can be view here)

possible field entries. This functionality is just provided for
specific fields.

 Make sure you selected the right project.

Log Off

 You can log off through the path „Window/ close all and
log off“:

 Another way to log off, is to close the NWBC window.
