BALENCED DIET
What is a well balanced diet?

A diet that contains adequate amounts of all the


necessary nutrients requied for healthy growth
a n d a c t i v i t y.

It is essential for a healthy body and
a healthy mind. You are what you eat.

weight.

    PROTEINS

Protein is an important part


of a healthy diet. Proteins
are made up of chemical
'building blocks' called
amino acids. Your body
uses amino acids to build
and repair muscles and
bones and to make
hormones and enzymes.
They can also be used as an
energy source.
CARBOHYDRATES

Foods high in carbohydrates are an


important part of a healthy diet.
Carbohydrates provide the body
with glucose, which is converted
to energy used to support bodily
functions and physical activity.

FATS
Dietary fats are essential to give your body energy
and to support cell function. They also help protect
your organs and help keep your body warm. Fats help
your body absorb some nutrients and produce
important hormones, too.

Foods high in good fats include vegetable oils


(such as olive, canola, sunflower, soy, and
corn), nuts, seeds, and fish.
My reccomandation for healthy diet

-Eat as much fruit and vegetables as possible

-Avoid 3 white killers: sugar, white fl our and salt.

Instead of them try brown shugar, whole grain fl our and sea salt.

Avoid all chemicals  as preservatives, artifi cial colourants and


fl avourings.(if your imunity system has to fi ght  with chemicals, it
has less strenght to protect your body from diseases.
