INFORMATION
DISSEMINATE

To spread or give out

something especially news,
information, ideas, etc….. To
a lot of people.
INFORMATION
The knowledge that you get about
someone or something: facts or
details about a subject.
What is Information Dissemination?
Information Dissemination means spreading
information, knowledge, and opinions widely to a
certain person, people, or to a bigger group of
audience. The purpose
of dissemination is to influence people's behavior,
so that they will adopt or at least
become aware of a new idea, product or service
which is being disseminated.
What do people use to disseminate
information?

Traditional and social media represent

the two general forms by which humans
disseminate information in contemporary
society.
Effective Information Dissemination

Advice Now says that the key to the effective distribution of information is the
proper matching of the medium to the message. Always adopt a method that will
work for your intended audience. That’s why traditional media must be used in
some circumstances, even though it is slower than outlets on the internet. Many
senior citizens, for example, only use the internet for certain functions, if at all.
Therefore, if your audience is seniors, you may need to use traditional outlets such
as radio, television, and even print newspapers. Sometimes other means of hard
copy, such as brochures, are appropriate as giveaways where the targeted audience
can read the information at a later date.
Types of Communication for Information

Information used for dissemination can be divided into various types. Not all types
of information are relevant to communities as a whole but are of interest to a
targeted audience and depend on the audience’s level of education and literacy and
problems that may be relevant to them. Practical information covers employment
opportunities, new products, and the like. Referral information involves statistical
and quantitative data that may be analyzed to discover trends. Condensed
information gives the audience a concise picture of the contents of a book, digest,
or other abstracts where comprehensive information is detailed. Repackaged
information is a means of explaining technical data so a layperson can easily
understand it.
Mass Media is the Most Trusted
Because of the prevalence of internet outlets, mass media is
often overlooked as a way to disseminate information.
However, for many situations, such as weather alerts,
emergencies and such, television, and radio broadcasts provide
the most effective means of communication. Mass
communications, in particular, have a high degree of trust. As
many as 90 percent of people get their information from mass
media and indicate that they trust these sources the most. Even
though most stories won’t be broadcast on national television,
local media outlets are considered a viable route for
disseminating crucial information.
One thing is for certain, information
dissemination is constantly changing.
Communication, as a whole, has changed
dramatically in the last 50 years. With additional
ways to disseminate information, one could
expect that the next 10 years will see additional
ways to broadcast information.
Information Dissemination
should be fact and detailed
information when it is
distributed to the public.
We can also disseminate
information through essays,
academic papers, and research in
a proper manner.
To Persuade
It is pushing across an idea and convincing people
or readers to support the idea that you want to
convey.

Effective Persuasive Communication
Know Your Audience - Effective persuasive
communication addresses the audience's needs,
values and desires.

Get the Audience's Attention- Before you can

persuade an audience, you must first grab their
attention and demonstrate why it's worth their time
to listen to your idea or suggestion. Start with an
anecdote that illustrates the point you're trying to
make or with a surprising fact that tells them why
Establish Credibility - To persuade an
audience, you must demonstrate your
credibility and authority. People are more
receptive to someone they view as an authority
figure, whether that person has direct
authority over them, such as a boss, or if the
person is an authority in his industry or
profession. You should attempt to persuade
others of something you can prove or have
Convey Benefits - It's easier to
persuade an audience when you can
show them how your proposal
benefits them
Use Body Language- With verbal
communication, your demeanor influences
your ability to persuade as much as your
words. If you cross your arms, your audience
may perceive you as hostile or angry. If you
fidget, they may see you as weak or
uncertain. If you rarely make eye contact,
they may think you're hiding something. To
sell your message to your audience, connect
with them by maintaining eye contact.
