Why we love this coffee

Starbucks has a rich history of buying and relying on unique coffees from Mexico and this coffee is
the first from the unique and diverse state region in the eastern coast of the Gulf of Mexico. With
notes of piloncillo and toasted almond, with a pinch of cinnamon and chocolaty body, this coffee is
the perfect way to celebrate Starbucks 20th anniversary in Mexico.

The story of this coffee

To speak of Veracruz is to speak of its proud and lovely people, it is to speak about the region in
Mexico that, more than two centuries ago, cultivated coffee for the first time and that since then has
become one of the country’s most important coffee producing regions. It is here, where “Las
Montañas” Veracruz, Mexico, is born, cultivated by Nahua coffee growers in the state’s southern
most mountainous region.
