What is an article? An article is a word that


comes before a noun to show if it's specific or
general. Specific nouns use the article the and
general nouns use the article a (or an if the
next word starts with a vowel sound).
Article (a & an)

The article "a" is used to denote a singular noun that begins


with a consonant sound, while the article “an” is used to
denote a singular noun that begins with a vowel sound.

Example:
- I like a Cake
- I just bought an Aple
- I just show a pen on the table
Article (the)

The article “the" is used to denote a specific noun, We use


the definite article in front of a noun when we believe the
listener/reader knows exactly what we are referring to.

Example:
- I stay in the Hotel
- I talked to the guy yesterday
- Let us read the Book
Conclusion

Article (a & an) is used to show


nouns that are general or non-
specific. The article "a" is used
before nouns that have a consonant
sound, while the article "an" is used
before nouns that have a vowel
sound. The article "the" is used to
indicate a very specific noun where
the speaker and listener both know
the object being discussed.
