FILL IN THE BLANKS (R & W)

This task type tests reading and writing skills. A passage will
be shown, which includes roughly 120 to 200 words. In the
passage, there will normally be 4 to 5 blanks. For each blank,
there are 4 to 5 options, included in a drop-down box. Your
task is to select the most appropriate option for each blank.
Do not spend more than 2 minutes on each
question
FOR EXAMPLE
Dance has played an important role in many musicals.
In some_____(a), dance numbers are included as an excu
se to add to the color and spectacle of the show, but dan
ce is more effective when it forms an integral part of
the______(b).
An early example is Richard Rodgers On Your Toes(1936) i
n which the story about classical ballet meeting the worl
d of jazz enabled dance to be introduced in a way that __
_____(c)
, rather than interrupts the drama.
Options(a) (b) (c)
1. Cases 1.phenomenon 1.enhances
2. Dimensions 2.plot 2.levels
MULTIPLE CHOICE ( MULTI )

Test takers will see a textual passage

of 200 to 300 words, together with a
question and 5 to 7 choices, and are
required to answer the question by
choosing the correct choice
according to the passage. This
question type usually consists of 1 or
2 questions.
FOR EXAMPLE
 X-ray crystallography is the study of crystal structures through X-
ray diffraction techniques. When an X-
ray beam bombards a crystalline lattice in a given orientation, the beam is scattered in
a definite manner characterized by the atomic structure of the lattice. This phenomen
on, known as X-ray diffraction, occurs when the wavelength of X-
rays and the interatomic distances in the lattice have the same order of magnitude. In
1912, the German scientist Max van Laue predicted that crystals exhibit diffraction qual
ities. Concurrently, W. Friedrich and P. Knipping created the first photographic diffracti
on patterns. A year later, Lawrence Bragg successfully analyzed the crystalline structur
es of potassium chloride and sodium chloride using X-
ray crystallography, and developed a rudimentary treatment for X-ray/
crystal interaction (Bragg's Law). Bragg's research provided a method to determine a
number of simple crystal structures for the next 50 years. In the 1960s, the capabilities
of X-
ray crystallography were greatly improved by the incorporation of computer technolo
gy. Modern X-
ray crystallography provides the most powerful and accurate method far determining
single-crystal structures. Structures containing 100-
200 atoms now can be analyzed an the order of 1-
2 days, whereas before the 1960s a 20-atom structure required 1-
2 years far analysis. Through X-
ray crystallography the chemical structure of thousands of organic, inorganic, organo
metallic, and biological compounds are determined every year.
Which of the fallowing factors are consistent
with the theory of X-ray crystallography?
A) X-ray crystallization causes a reduction in the
interatomic distances of wavelengths.
B) X-rays are scattered according to the atomic
structure of the crystal lattice.
C) The analysis of chemical compounds was only
passible after the development of computer
technology.
D) The process can be used to determine the
chemical structure of biological compounds.
E) X-rays will not defract in crystalline
substances.

RE- ORDER

1. But we cannot deny the advantages of technology, for

example, phones have brought the world closer.
2. Technology has both advantages and disadvantages.
3. For example, phones are known to cause problems due
to radiation.
4. I think it all boils down to how we use a particular
technology.
5. Some people also make phone calls while driving,
which cause incidents
