Remember:
Quadrilateral is a
polygon with four sides.
Quadrilateral classified according to the number of parallel sides.
1. General quadrilateral is quadrilateral with no pair
of parallel sides.
2. Trapezoid is a quadrilateral with exactly one pair of
parallel sides.
3. Isosceles trapezoid is a trapezoid with congruent non
parallel sides.
4. Parallelogram is a quadrilateral with two pairs of
parallel sides.
5. Rectangle is a parallelogram with four right angles.
6. Rhombus is a parallelogram with four equal sides.
7. Square is a parallelogram with four right angles and four
equal sides.
8. Kite is a quadrilateral with two distinct pairs of adjacent
congruent sides.
