INCIDENT REPORT

This type of report is a brief overview and description of a call an officer
responds to. It usually is one page or less and includes information, such
as the time and date of an incident, as well as the location and name of
officers who responded to the scene.

The incident section of a police report
includes sections with details of the case,
including the offense type and criminal
charges. In the narrative of a police report, it
restates the charges the officer deemed
appropriate and states what type of call they
were dispatched on.
BLOTTER REPORT
A police blotter is a logbook that contains the daily registry of all crime
incident reports, official summaries of arrest, and the other significant
events reported in a police station.
