Types of plans used by managers

A. Long term plan- plans that go beyond three or more


years into jthe future.

B. Meduim term plan- plans that cover time periods of one


to two years 

C.  Short term plans- plans that cover one year or less

A. High level- involves complex issues and
procedures that considered as high priority areas.
B. Meduim level- pertain to meduim term goals
C.  Low level- simpler and associated with routinary
functions.

A. Strategic plan- the top level planning which involves making
decisions about the organization's long term goals 
B. Tactical plans- the middle level management planning which
refers to procedures and transformation of strategic plans with
specific goals 
C. Operationl plan- lower level management planning which
involves routine tass repeatedly done by the firm's lower level
units
