NEXT ,WHAT WE HAVE HERE

IS
SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE GOLD OL DAYS.
WHY GOOD OL DAYS?BECAUSE AS WHAT YOU CAN SEE

WE HAVE HERE THE REVISED EDUCATIONAL ACT.

SAYING THAT THE DepED INSTITUTIONALIZES THE CHILD’S MT AS PRIMARY
MOI IN ALL SUBJECT AREAS.
FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING,WHEN WE SAY INSTITUTIONALIZES,IT SIMPLY
MEAMS THAT IT IS A PROCESS OF EMBEDDING SOME CONCEPTION.
NOW WHAT IS THIS EMBEDDED CONCEPTION?WHAT DID DEPED
EMBEDDED.THOS E ARE THE ACTS OR THE POLICIES.WHAT ARE THE POLICIES
OBSERVEABLE?WE HAVE MULTILINGUAL POLICY,WE MONOLINGUAL.
BACK THEN,IF YOU CAN RECAP YOUR EARLY GRADESCHOOL.WE ACTUALLY
USES OUR MOTHER TOUNGE,AS MEAN OF COMMUNICATION WITH OUR
TEACHERS.

WHY DO HAVE TO USE MT IN TEACHING THEN?EVEN NOW WE’RE IN COLLEGE

AND WE KEEP ENCOUNTERING OUR MT IN CLASSROOM SETTINGS,
RIGHT?
the practice of alternating between two or more languages or varieties of language in
conversation.

BECAUSE IT MORE COMFY,RIGHT?

IT IS EFFECTIVE.
SO AS IN YOUNG CHILDREN,THEY WILL FEEL EASE WHEN THEY’RE BEING TAUGHT IN THERE
MT.
REMEMBER IT IS THEIR COMFORT ZONE.IN TEACHING,YOU HAVE TO STICK ON THE MORE
EFFECTIVE AND GIVES MORE EFFIECIENCY,

SO THAT IS WHY THE DEPED COME UP TO THIS REVISIONING ACT.A LAW THAT WE MUST USE
THE CHILD’S MT AS MOI.
THIS IS ONLY FOR PRE SCHOOLERS TO ATLEST GRADE THREE.
I REMEMBER,BEFORE.WHEN I WAS GRADE 3,I BARELY ENCOUNTER
ENGLISH.OR IBA SA INYO?KASE NUNG G3 AKO MAY ENGLISH SOMETHING NA.
MAYBE BECAUSE WE ARE ABOUT BE INTRODUCED TO ENGLISH,
YEAH ALSO FILIPINO.TO?
TO WHAT?TO BE PREPARED,TO BE READY.
WE ARE INTRODUCE TO ENGLISH AND FILIPINO BECAUSE
THE TEACHING OF MT AS SUBJECT BEGINS IN G1,AND FILIPINO AND ENGLISH
BECOME THE MOI FROM SECONDARY LEVEL ONWARDS.
WHAT DAWE IS TRYING TO SAY HERE IS THAT THE USE OF ENGLISH IS ESSENTIAL.
OR SIMPLY IT IS AN ABSOLUTE NEED,IT IS NECESSARY AND IT IS IMPORTANT TO SUCCESS
OF DEMOCRACY.
BECAUSE OF MCKINLEY ADDRESSING THE PHILIPPINE COMMSSION,THE BASIS OF ALL
PUBLIC SCHOOL INSTRUCTION NOW IS ENGLISH.
IT IS BENIFICIAL.
OF COURSE,THIS POLICY BENEFITS ALMOST MOST OF US,THE STUDENTS,GRADUATEES
AND EMPLOYERS,
FOR YOU KNOW,BEING AN ENGLISH LITERATE IS ONE OF THE VALUABLE FACTOR IN EVERY
JOBS AND LIFE ASPECTS.IT IS ALSO ONE OF THE REQUIREMENTS.
In addition to the obvious advantages when travelling to other countries or looking for a
job, bilingual people have better skills such as memory or attention.
The policy on Bilingual Education aims at the achievement of
competence in both Filipino and English at the national level, through
the teaching of both languages and their use as medium of instruction
at all levels. The regional languages shall be used as auxiliary languages
in Grades I and II.
Filipino and English are the official languages, with the recognition of
the regional languages as auxiliary official in their respective regions
(though not specifying any particular languages)
The goals of the Bilingual Education Policy shall be:
Enhanced learning through two languages to achieve quality education as
called for by the 1987 Constitution;
the propagation of Filipino as a language of literacy;
the development of Filipino as a linguistic symbol of national unity and
identity;
the cultivation and elaboration of Filipino as a language of scholarly
discourse that is to say, its continuing intellectualization; and
the maintenance of English as an international language for the Philippines
and as a non-exclusive language of science and technology.
Bilingual education helps students effectively connect with people of
different cultures and backgrounds, increasing their ability to
empathize with others and promoting emotional intelligence
Being bilingual (and multicultural) better equips individuals with not
only language skills but also important social skills needed to work with
others from varying cultures and backgrounds. Such skills include the
ability to be more perceptive of others, to be more empathetic and to
communicate more effectively.
Enables English language learners to become competent in listening,
speaking, reading, and writing in the English language through the
development of literacy and academic skills in the primary language
and English.
