This song was sung by a swedish singer Lykke Li for the movie
Rust and Bone (2012).
The song is an upbeat song with minimum lyrics and emphasis on
the phrase “I follow you”. The intention is to relate the alternate
identity or “true self” of the main character which follows them
everywhere. The lyrics of the song is perceived as a dialogue
between the main character and their ture, unattainable identity.
Concept:

While digging deeper into the complexity of human mind and the process of curating and
being secure in one’s identity, the main character is struggling to accept the reality of who
they are and how they are perceived by others. This struggle culminates with the end of
their worldly existence and transcending into their true form-who they really are and have
always been.

The story takes inspiration from the polarity existing in real lives i.e body dysmorphia,
gender dysphoria, identity crisis and how individuals strictly bound by their physical
attributes or societal labels can never reconcile with who they are on the inside
