A cyclic ring having at least two different elements as
members of a ring and violating the criteria of Aromaticity are
called non aromatic heterocycles…
A cyclic ring having two or more hetero atom within the ring
are called non aromatic heterocyclic compounds.
The most common hetero atoms found on a cyclic ring are
Oxygen (O),
Nitrogen (N) and Sulphur (S). N;O;S

Aziridine is less basic than 2 degree amines. Less basicity of aziridine is due to bond angle strain and can
be explain by considering the hybridization of lone pair present at nitrogen atom .
The B.A.S in aziridine results increase in s-character of lone pair and hybridization of lone pair lies in
between sp2 and sp3.
1,3-DIAXIAL INTERACTION
The steric interaction that accurs between axial substituents with

converts the ring into its mirror image .
