Dear Children,

My name is Sir David Attenborough. I am an enthusiastic naturalist and


television broadcaster from the UK. I am writing to you, and many other
schools in the Australia, for some help.
As you may be aware, I have spent many years studying and broadcasting
information about the natural world, in particular the creatures that inhabit it.
It is my sincere hope that this has attempted to bring more knowledge and
respect between the human race and the wonderful creatures we share this
fine planet with. My concern is that, due to the heightened use of the Internet
and gaming, many children today are not accessing the same information that
will help us to preserve our habitats into the future. It is of the upmost
importance that children today have a deep understanding of the positive
impact that humankind can have on the partially deteriorated habitats of
some creatures.

I would like to propose that you might help me to open a successful zoo,
which would hopefully attract children from all over the country. I want to
open the eyes of the ‘tablet computer’ generation to the precious natural
