Notes for the teacher

This PowerPoint is designed to be used by experienced and qualified English language

teachers (TEFL/TESOL/EAL teachers). It is most useful for differentiating true beginners
through to a pre-intermediate level.

These pictures are designed to reflect familiar scenarios, and students are given the simple
prompt ‘What do you see?’ to test their knowledge of simple vocabulary and possibly
sentence structure.

There are optional, additional prompts to test more advanced students.

You may wish to delete this slide before beginning the presentation.
What do you see?

What colours do you see? What are they wearing?

What objects do you see? How do you think they are feeling?
