Basic Articles Usage
A/An/Some are articles used for generic nouns without any specific things identified.

A are used before singular nouns which are initiated with consonant alphabets.

* A banana is yellow.

An is used before singular nouns which are initiated with vocal alphabets.

* An apple is red. A University An Umbrella

* Some apple is nice.

Some is also used for plural nouns.

*Some people are busy.


Basic Articles Usage

The is used for definite nouns that the speakers and the listeners are thinking about the same specific
things. both singular and plural count nouns and with non-count nouns.

* Thank you for the banana.


* Thank you for the bananas.
* Thank you for the money.

Simple Sentence

* A simple sentence (short sentence) has only an independent clause.

For example:
I thank the man. = a simple sentence consist of one independent clause.
He helps me. = a simple sentence consisting of one independent clause.
Complex Sentence
* A complex sentence (long sentence) has an independent clause and a dependent clause. It
is joined with subordinating conjunctions.
• Dependent Clause is also known as subordinate clauses that cannot stand alone as a
complete sentence.
