Public University
A public university is a university that is

The term "private university" simply means

Difference between the Public & Private Universities


Tuition Fees
A

very vital point which distinguishes private and public universities is cost. In Bangladeshs economy, it is affordable for a student to get admitted in a public university very easily. But since the cost of education in private university is extremely high, it is not possible for everyone to get admitted in private universities because of their significantly higher tuition fees.

Courses offered
The

courses offered by the private university depend on market opportunity and demand. Commercial consideration is one of the primary objectives that reflect on the curriculum of these institutions. Rather then public universities have no any tendency to revenue earnings. So that they are offered courses in music, fashion, product design, interior architecture and hospital management etc.

Public

universities have adequate classrooms, adequate spaces for larger classes, rich libraries, modern laboratories, adequate facilities for regular and visiting faculty and administrators, spaces for indoor and outdoor games and sports, students common rooms, auditoriums etc to public universities private universities are still faced with shortage of these. But facilities in private universities are usually better in terms of decoration of class room, computer centers 4/14/12 and Internet access.

Private universities are relies to the part time faculty members and they do not have much qualified Faculty compare to the public universities. Private universities ensure quality education to hire teachers from public universities with a huge amount.

universities encourage to do research work and they provide funds for research. Private universities neither encourage nor discourage the faculty members and usually there is no research grant available. Research is a personal concern of the faculty members in most of the private universities in Bangladesh.

Conclusion
The advantages of

public universities are still being able to get best students, because their tuition fee is low; the obvious choice of a good student is a public university. The advantages of private universities compared to public ones are based on the following key aspects: collaboration with other international universities, no academic session delays, politics-free environment, and international standards based grading systems (CGPA). it is hoped that both the public 4/14/12 and private universities will consider
