Why should life skills be taught
in schools?
● It is beneficial as they continue learning into their middle school and high school years. Eventually
as adults, they will be able to use what they learned – ideas such as problem solving, responsibility,
decision making and making healthy choices to name a few.
● This may help them later in life when they get a job as it may require them to use their life skills
to create ideas and plans for the company in the near future.
○ Maybe, if their plans are good enough, they will get a raise or even promoted.
 Importance of Life Skills.
● Things like how to find jobs and how to pay taxes are essential things we need to learn.
● However, Schools don’t teach these things and we are required to find these things out ourselves
either through tough experiences or through unreliable sources.
○ As such, life skills become more important when we grow up to help us solve things that is outside work
and academics.
Importance of Self-control.
● It helps control the human mind and body
● People with self control may have less problems with health, overeating, and committing crimes.
● People with good self-control may be able to excel in studies and in their respective jobs as they
can resist the temptation of not doing their work
● Research has shown that people with good self-control usually have better health, relationships,
finances, and careers.
Why self-control is important for
everyday life.
● Self-control may help people focus on their goals and achieve success in either education or in the
workforce.
● Self-control also can also help one become a good leader as it may help them from being blinded
by power and being a corrupted bad leader..
Importance of Creativity.
● Creativity allows us to solve problems with innovative ways and it will help us think out of the
box and solve complicated problems.
● Creativity may also help with jobs that require someone to be innovative. These jobs often require
large amounts of productivity and creativity.
Why Creativity is important for
learning.
● Creativity can be used to view problems from different perspectives and help students to think
outside the box to answer questions .
● This skill can help students greatly with their revision and studies as they find creative ways to
study and creativity may even help them later in life.
Why Critical Thinking is
important for work.
● Critical Thinking can help us think broader and dive deeper to the problem that we are facing.
● It also allows us to find new ways of solving problems, which might be more efficient then the
other methods.
● Critical Thinking may also help us analyze information and determine whether they are true.
Importance of communication
skills.
● Communication skills can help you better interact with other people and share ideas.
● Communication skills can also help people developing human relationships and managing
resources.
● This skill is even more important in today’s world as communication skills have become one of the
basic requirements for personal and institutional development.
Why communication skills
should be taught at school.
● Teaching communication skills may help students with their group projects in school and it may
also help mitigate the risk of a misunderstanding turning into a violent fight.
● Communication skills may also be used when the student needs help with their work. With a good
set of communication skills, students can ask questions that the teacher can then understand and
help the student.
