ABSTRACT
The process of manually cutting the stems and roots off garlic
bulbs can be time-consuming, labor-intensive, and inefficient,
particularly for large quantities of garlic. Additionally, the use of
manual labor can result in inconsistent cuts, leading to differences
in the size and appearance of garlic bulbs. This can be a
significant problem for commercial purposes where uniformity in
garlic size and appearance is essential. To address these
challenges, the garlic stem and root cutting machine was
developed.

MANUAL METHOD
The manual method of cutting the stems and roots off garlic
bulbs involves using a knife or scissors to trim the stems and roots
by hand. The process typically involves holding the garlic bulb in
one hand and using the other hand to cut off the stem and root
close to the bulb. This process can be time-consuming and labor-
intensive, particularly for large quantities of garlic. Moreover,
manual cutting can result in inconsistent cuts, leading to
differences in the size and appearance of garlic bulbs, which can
be a significant problem for commercial purposes.
