 I pray for light but don’t get clear answers
 Over the past months since my retreat, I don’t
have the same closeness to God. I miss it.
 Sometimes I don’t feel like praying. When I try,
it feels like nothing is happening.
 I am so busy and things are going well, so
sometimes I just forget to pray.
 How does God communicate?
 God is a spiritual being and we are spirit and
matter.

communication from others?
 How is this different in our relationship with
God?
 God communicates HIMSELF to us and his
love all of the time. But, especially in the
sacraments and our prayer life.

 Take aways
 Listen in the silence of your heart. “God did not
speak in the earthquake, but in the gentle breeze.”
 God speaks to us through his inspired Word.
“Speak Lord, for your servant is listening.”
 Our life is a journey, for we are pilgrims. But, he is
the one who leads and draws us to himself. Our
thirst, hunger, desire for happiness is his calling to
our hearts. “Lord you have made us for yourself
and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.”
 Be comfortable in mystery. “Be still and know that
I am God.”
